Earthworks/Structures Project Manager
About the role:
The project is live already and they need in place a capable Construction Manager from a civil engineering background with a professional attitude, ideally both main and sub contract experience
The Construction Manager will responsible for the implementation of the Company’s policies and procedures on site and the delivery of a safe and profitable contract on time.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
- To work with the client in the delivery of a safe and profitable contract To comply with the Company policies for Health & Safety, Environment and Quality Management. To produce workable programmes of work. To be the company’s representative on site and to be responsible for the company’s actions Put the company’s resources to work and to ensure the correct optimum level of resource on site. Complete accurate records of work
- OBJECTIVES:To be agreed at Annual Personal Performance Review ROLE TASKS:Duties include but not restricted to: ·To put the allocated labour resources to work safely each day ·To be the point of contact on site for all matters relating to the contract ·To ensure that all plant, transport and materials used on the site are of sufficient quality and quantity to complete the task in question. ·To manage subcontractors appointed to the contract. ·To keep clear and comprehensive records of the work carried out on the site. ·To be responsible for the collection of all delivery tickets, dockets and associated receipts for the materials, plant and transport etc. used on the site. ·To ensure that the above delivery tickets, dockets and associated receipts are delivered to head office promptly when requested. ·To work with the appointed quantity surveyor to accurately measure and value the works carried out. ·To ensure that the site is maintained to the high standard expected by the management of the company. ·To ensure that all site operations are carried out in strict accordance with the Company’s policies on Health & Safety, the Environment and Quality Management. ·To carry out any disciplinary measures necessary to site operatives, site foreman or subcontractors in accordance with the Company’s procedures. ·To assist in the career development and training of operational personnel within the teams under your control. ·To prepare good quality works programmes, method statements, risk assessments and health & safety plans ·To carry out other duties and tasks deemed reasonable with this position
