Our client is a leading engineering and construction company delivering major new-build data centre projects across Europe. They provide full turnkey solutions, from initial design and groundworks through to structural build, MEP installation, commissioning, and handover.
They are now seeking an experienced MEP QA/QC Manager to lead quality assurance and quality control for a major data centre project in Norway.
• Develop, implement, and maintain the MEP quality management system for the project, ensuring compliance with client specifications and international standards.
• Lead and manage QA/QC teams, overseeing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installation quality across all project phases.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of MEP works to verify compliance with design, specifications, and approved procedures.
• Review and approve subcontractor quality documentation, method statements, inspection test plans, and material submissions.
• Monitor installation and commissioning processes, ensuring systems meet design intent, operational requirements, and industry standards.
• Identify, report, and manage non-conformances, ensuring timely resolution and implementation of corrective actions.
• Coordinate with site management, engineering teams, and subcontractors to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality reports, and submit regular progress updates to senior management.
• Ensure as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and documentation are complete, accurate, and submitted in line with project handover requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing recurring issues and implementing lessons learned.
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or a strong MEP technical background.
Minimum 10 years of experience in MEP QA/QC management, ideally on hyperscale or mission-critical data centre projects.
Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractor QA/QC activities on large-scale construction projects.
Strong knowledge of QA/QC standards, inspection processes, and commissioning procedures for mechanical and electrical systems.
Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
Familiarity with BIM, LEED, and project collaboration platforms is highly desirable.
