Mechanical Lead – Data Centre – Portugal

Our client is a dedicated Data Centre Construction company providing turnkey solutions to our clients, headquartered in Dublin and delivering throughout Europe. As an engineering-focused organisation, they have grown to become one of the leading and most trusted companies in our sector. We are currently constructing multiple Turnkey Data Centre Projects across Europe, equating to over 500 MW of IT load in flight.
We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Lead to join our team. This position will be based on-site in Lisbon, Portugal.

Responsibilities

•   Mechanical Works Leadership
Lead and manage all mechanical construction activities on a large-scale data centre project, ensuring delivery according to scope, schedule, and quality requirements.
•   Coordination & Interface Management
Coordinate mechanical design, installation, and commissioning works with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and client engineering representatives.
•   Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure all mechanical works comply with local Portuguese regulations, international standards, safety requirements, and project-specific QA/QC procedures.
•   Technical Review & Problem Solving
Review mechanical drawings, IFC documents, and technical submittals, identifying design issues, risks, or clashes and driving timely technical resolutions.
•   Progress Reporting & Project Controls
Provide accurate progress reporting, support planning and procurement activities, forecast resource needs, and contribute to cost and risk management.

Requirements

Must have relevant degree level qualifications or equivalent trades background
Must have 10+ years in a similar role on large-scale construction projects (preferably Data Centres)
Must have EU Passport or RTW in Portugal
