Mechanical Construction Manager – Data Centre Projects Location: Helsinki, Uusimaa, Finland A leading European data centre delivery contractor is seeking multiple Mechanical Construction Managers to join a major hyperscale development in Helsinki.
The Mechanical Construction Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical construction activities across HVAC and pipework installations, ensuring compliance with programme, quality, and safety requirements.

This role is suited to experienced construction professionals with strong mechanical delivery expertise in large-scale MEP environments. You will oversee mechanical installation works, manage subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
This position requires strong operational leadership and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments for HVAC construction activities
• Sequence pipework and mechanical installations to align with programme milestones
• Ensure all mechanical works meet safety, quality, and compliance standards
• Manage project scheduling and two-week lookahead planning
• Validate and support commercial handover from estimating through procurement
• Assist with change management, variation documentation, and valuation processes
• Oversee subcontractor performance and labour resource allocation
• Maintain high standards of site safety and housekeeping
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives for construction delivery
• Support commissioning and project handover documentation
Essential Criteria
• 5+ years’ experience in mechanical construction or M&E contracting
• Data centre or mission-critical project experience advantageous
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical installation practices
• Commercial awareness and change management capability
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Commitment to Health & Safety and quality compliance
