Health & Safety Manager – Data Centre Project, Helsinki Location: Espoo, Helsinki, Finland Salary: €100,000 – €110,000 + Accommodation + Rotation + Travel + €1,000 Net Living Allowance
We are seeking a Health & Safety Manager to join one of Europe’s leading engineering and construction partners, delivering high-value data centre and industrial projects across the continent. This long-term role is based in Helsinki on a major hyperscale project — offering strong stability, international exposure, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact within a world-class delivery team.

As the Health & Safety Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving health, safety, and environmental excellence across all phases of the project. You will ensure compliance with legislation, company procedures, and client requirements, while fostering a proactive and positive safety culture on site.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the HSE function for a large-scale data centre construction project.
Ensure compliance with Finnish, EU, and client-specific EHS legislation.
Develop, implement, and maintain Construction Stage H&S Plans.
Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and safety performance reviews.
Prepare and analyse HSE reports, metrics, and trends for senior management.
Oversee risk assessments, method statements, COSHH compliance, and safe systems of work.
Manage incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE training to promote best practices.
Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and design teams to integrate HSE into all aspects of project delivery.
Key Requirements:
Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years’ experience managing HSE on large-scale construction projects (data centre or industrial preferred).
Strong working knowledge of EU and Finnish HSE legislation.
Proven track record in leadership, auditing, and implementing proactive safety measures.
Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
EU Passport or Right to Work in Finland.
