A leading European contractor delivering large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure projects is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a flagship data centre project in the Netherlands.
This organisation operates across multiple European countries delivering technically complex data centre campuses for global technology clients. Safety is embedded at the core of its delivery model, and this role plays a key part in maintaining world-class EHS standards on site.
As Health & Safety Advisor, you will work closely with site leadership, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure safe systems of work are implemented, monitored, and continuously improved.
Key Responsibilities
Support site management in implementing and maintaining the project EHS management system
Monitor compliance with EU and local H&S legislation, company standards, and client requirements
Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
Review method statements, RAMS, and permit-to-work systems
Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and site inductions
Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, producing reports and corrective actions
Promote a proactive safety culture across all site activities
Liaise with subcontractors to ensure consistent safety standards across all packages
Support project reporting and KPI tracking related to EHS performance
Requirements
Recognised Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role within construction or engineering
Experience on large-scale projects such as data centres, industrial, pharmaceutical, or commercial builds
Strong working knowledge of EU H&S legislation and best practice
Confident communicator with the ability to influence site teams
Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented approach
EU passport or full EU right to work essential
