We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager or Commissioning Manager to join a leading international engineering consultancy delivering a major heavy industry project based in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a company renowned for delivering complex, large-scale industrial projects across the UK and Europe. As Electrical Site Manager / Commissioning Manager, you will oversee all electrical site activities, manage subcontractors, and ensure work is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will be a key point of contact for the project team, ensuring all electrical and commissioning works align with the overall project programme and client specifications.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee electrical installation and commissioning activities across the site.
  • Manage subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to HSE standards, project timelines, and quality benchmarks.
  • Coordinate with project managers, design teams, and client representatives to resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Review and approve electrical documentation, drawings, and test procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with UK regulations and industry best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead commissioning activities, including testing, verification, and handover documentation.
  • Report progress to senior management, providing accurate updates on schedule, risks, and milestones.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability on site.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Site Manager or Commissioning Manager in heavy industry, steel plants, power generation, oil & gas, or similar environments.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, commissioning procedures, and relevant UK standards/regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors on large-scale industrial projects.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, HNC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
  • Right to work in the UK is essential.
