Electrical Project Engineer

Our client is an established engineering and construction main contractor delivering major new-build data centre schemes across Northern and Central Europe. They operate a full turnkey model, overseeing projects from initial design and groundworks through construction, M&E installation, fit-out and final handover. With a turnover of €1.3bn and consistent growth of 10–15% annually, they are a leading player in the European data centre market.

Due to ongoing expansion, the company is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join the delivery team for a €500m+ hyperscale Data Centre project in Mons, Belgium.

Role Overview
The Electrical Project Engineer will support the coordination and delivery of all electrical systems and installations on the project. Working closely with the Electrical Package Manager, subcontractors and the wider project team, the role ensures electrical works are completed in line with design specifications, project timelines and strict safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Assist in the coordination and execution of all electrical installation activities
•    Review electrical drawings, specifications, submittals and method statements
•    Support management of subcontractor performance, ensuring quality, safety and schedule compliance
•    Provide technical expertise on electrical systems including LV/MV distribution, UPS, generators, controls and critical infrastructure
•    Monitor site progress, identify issues and contribute to project reporting and risk mitigation
•    Work with commissioning teams to ensure electrical systems are tested, energised and handed over successfully
•    Ensure all electrical works adhere to local regulations, project requirements and industry best practices

Requirements:
•    Electrical engineering background with relevant qualifications
•    Experience delivering electrical works on large-scale construction, industrial or data centre projects
•    Strong understanding of electrical building services, installation processes and safety standards
•    Strong technical, coordination and problem-solving skills
•    Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary project environment
