Electrical Engineer – Data Centre Project (Eskilstuna, Sweden)

An experienced Electrical Engineer is required to join a major data centre construction project in Eskilstuna, Sweden. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to work on a mission-critical facility as part of a multidisciplinary MEP engineering and construction delivery team.
The successful candidate will oversee the design coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning of complex electrical systems within a high-performance, large-scale data centre environment, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and project delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all on-site electrical engineering and installation activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, project schedules, and safety protocols.
Coordinate and review electrical design drawings, layouts, and schematics.
Lead and mentor sub-contractors and site teams, providing technical direction.
Support the testing, inspection, and commissioning of HV/LV systems and components.
Liaise with MEP coordination, QA/QC, and commissioning teams to maintain progress and quality.
Prepare and control documentation, handover packs, and test records.
Identify and resolve technical and installation issues efficiently.
Promote a strong safety-first culture and contribute to continuous improvement.
Requirements
Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical contracting, MEP, or data centre environments.
Proven knowledge of HV/LV distribution, switchgear, UPS, generators, containment, and lighting systems.
Experience with commissioning, QA/QC, and testing procedures.
Strong IT skills – MS Office, AutoCAD, and BIM/Revit desirable.
Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Previous experience on data centre, industrial, or mission-critical projects is advantageous.
Willingness to work on rotation or relocate to Sweden for project delivery.
