Electrical Engineer – Data Centres – Dusseldorf

Our client is a €2bn turnover, Tier:1 main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major, complex schemes with a particular emphasis on Data Centres, Pharmaceutical and Life Science projects

Due to continued growth in the region of their Data Centre projects division, our client is now seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer in Dusseldorf. 

Responsibilities

•    Electrical Engineering Delivery
Support the delivery of electrical systems including HV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, containment, earthing, and lighting, ensuring works are installed in accordance with project specifications and data centre standards.
•    Design Coordination & Technical Support
Coordinate with design consultants, specialist subcontractors, and internal teams to review drawings, manage RFIs, and resolve technical issues to ensure fully coordinated and buildable electrical solutions.
•    Site Supervision & Quality Control
Monitor electrical installation works on site, carrying out inspections to verify compliance with approved drawings, method statements, ITPs, and applicable German and European regulations.
•    Testing, Commissioning & Energisation Support
Assist with electrical testing and commissioning activities, including pre-commissioning checks, functional testing, and energisation, supporting integrated systems testing (IST) and phased handovers.
•    Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate electrical records including inspections, test results, as-built information, and handover documentation, providing regular progress and technical reports to the project team.

Requirements

Must have relevant electrical engineering degree or similar qualifications 
Must have 6+ years’ experience in a similar role on large scale construction projects
Must have EU Passport or RTW in Germany

Benefits

€70,000 per annum + €28,000 Overseas Allowance + Full Rotational Package
