Our client is a €2bn turnover, Tier:1 main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major, complex schemes with a particular emphasis on Data Centres, Pharmaceutical and Life Science projects Due to continued growth in the region of their Data Centre division, our client is now seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Lead to join their European Data Centre team based on a hyper-scale data centre build in Frankfurt, Germany You will be responsible for leading and coordinating the full electrical commissioning process on a mission-critical project for a global technology client. Key Responsibilities: Ideal Candidate Profile: What’s On Offer:
• Oversee all electrical commissioning activities across the project lifecycle
• Develop, implement, and manage detailed commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules
• Coordinate with design teams, QA/QC, and installation teams to ensure systems are ready for commissioning
• Interface directly with the client, vendors, and subcontractors to manage expectations and align commissioning milestones
• Lead functional testing, integrated systems testing, and final handover documentation
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and local regulations
• Drive safety and quality culture throughout the commissioning process
• Proven experience in electrical commissioning on data centres or other mission-critical environments
• Background with Tier 1 main contractors or specialist commissioning teams preferred
• Strong understanding of LV/MV power systems, UPS, generators, switchgear, BMS integration, and SCADA systems
• Exceptional organisational and communication skills, able to lead multidisciplinary teams
• Experience working internationally or in rotational roles is a plus
• Fluent in English; German language skills beneficial but not required
• Relevant engineering qualifications and commissioning certifications (preferred)
