Electrical Authorised Person (AP) Finland – Data Centre Project Key Responsibilities Requirements What’s on Offer
Our client is a leading European contractor specialising in the delivery of turnkey data centre projects. Operating across design, construction and commissioning, the business delivers complex projects covering civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical disciplines.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Authorised Person (AP) to join a major data centre project in Finland. This is a site-based role with responsibility for the safe control, operation and management of high- and low-voltage electrical systems throughout construction, testing and commissioning phases.
• Act as the Electrical Authorised Person, controlling and authorising all electrical works on site
• Implement and manage electrical safety rules, permits, isolations and switching procedures
• Oversee LV/HV systems during installation, testing and commissioning
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, project specifications and client safety standards
• Coordinate closely with electrical construction, commissioning and project management teams
• Review and approve method statements, risk assessments and switching schedules
• Maintain accurate electrical logs, permits and safety documentation
• Support energisation activities, witnessing tests and final handover
• Promote a strong electrical safety culture across site operations
• Proven experience acting as an Electrical Authorised Person on large-scale projects
• Strong background in electrical building services or industrial electrical systems
• Data centre, mission-critical or industrial project experience preferred
• In-depth knowledge of electrical safety rules, switching procedures and permit systems
• Relevant electrical qualification or apprenticeship
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication, organisation and decision-making skills
• EU passport or right to work in Finland required
