EHS Advisor- West London

Our client, a premier Engineering contractor known for delivering high-quality projects across various sectors operating across Ireland, Europe and the UK is looking for a dedicated EHS Advisor for a Data Centre project in West London. As EHS Advisor you are responsible for ensuring that the company's environmental, health, and safety standards are met and maintained by developing, implementing, and monitoring EHS programs and policies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:   

  • Carry out site inspections / audits and report findings to the project EHS Manager. 

  • Provide widespread support and assistance to the Health and Safety Manager. 

  • Knowledgeable in updated EHS issues, trends and develop strategies to address them proactively. 

  • Proactively join the active development of the EHS culture and the management systems.  

  • Support in delivering Health and Safety Inductions, and weekly Toolbox Talks.  

  • Identifying training needs, and report requirements to the project EHS Manager. 

  • Oversee & record investigations of accidents and incidents and analyze causes and implement preventive measures.  

  • Collaborate with EHS Manager, Site Manager, Project Manager and report all relevant EHS issues on site.  

  • Degree/qualifications in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.  

  • 5+ years’ experience in the construction industry. 

  • Electrical, Mechanical or CSA experience is ideal.  

  • Safe Pass, First Aid, CSCS (UK), or Train the Trainer qualification are beneficial.  

  • Strong understanding of ISO14000 and ISO45000.  

  • IOSH membership or equivalent is beneficial.  

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Strong knowledge of updated EHS standards & regulations.
