Our client is a leading international contractor delivering complex, large-scale construction projects across Europe. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and high-quality project delivery, the company operates across a wide range of sectors including commercial developments, advanced manufacturing, infrastructure, and mission-critical data centre facilities.
Due to continued growth within the data centre sector, our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to join the delivery team on a major data centre project in Portugal.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site electrical construction activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with project management, MEP teams, subcontractors, and client representatives, the Electrical Construction Manager will play a key role in coordinating and driving the electrical package through to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage all electrical construction activities on a large-scale data centre project in Portugal
• Oversee installation of electrical systems including LV/MV distribution, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and associated infrastructure
• Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project programme
• Coordinate and manage electrical subcontractors, ensuring performance, productivity, and quality targets are achieved
• Work closely with planning teams to develop and maintain construction schedules and progress tracking
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards across all electrical works
• Liaise with client representatives, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
• Identify and resolve technical and construction-related issues in a timely manner
• Support testing, commissioning, and system handover processes
• Monitor progress, report on key milestones, and ensure timely delivery of project phases
• Drive a strong site culture focused on safety, quality, and collaboration
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and company procedures
