We are assisting a leading contractor specialising in a variety of sectors in their search for a skilled and qualified Site Manager with extensive experience in high-pressure gas steel pipeline projects. With a strong commitment to safety, quality, and innovation, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations ensuring project goals are achieved. 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements: 

  • Oversee day-to-day operations on-site, managing all aspects of gas steel pipeline installation, including deep excavations, welding, and testing.  

  • Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. 

  • Act as the Temporary Works Supervisor, ensuring that all temporary works are installed and maintained safely and in compliance with relevant standards. 

  • Ensure that all site activities adhere to health and safety regulations by conducting regular safety briefings and inspections to maintain a safe working environment. 

  • Work closely, supervise, and support the site team, including subcontractors and laborers, ensuring clear communication & efficient workflow.  

  • Coordinate with clients, particularly with the relevant parties, including project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure that their requirements are met and that they are kept informed of project progress. 

  • Attend site meetings and provide updates on project status, risks, and issues. 

  • Oversee the testing of pipelines to ensure they meet the required standards, and all procedures are followed correctly and safely. 

  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, material usage, and any changes to the project scope.  

  • Significant years of experience in site management roles within construction/engineering. 

  • Experience with high-pressure gas systems, steel welding, stopple, & pipeline testing are advantageous. 

  • Previous experience as a contractor or direct employee with Cadent is highly desirable. 

  • Relevant tickets/ qualifications such as First Aid, Fire Marshal, Deep excavation & SMSTS are beneficial. 

  • Strong leadership and team management skills. 

  • Effective communication and organizational abilities. 

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
