We are partnered with a premier main contractor renowned for delivering exceptional projects across various sectors with a strong reputation built on decades of experience, innovative solutions, and a commitment to quality. The need now exists for a Senior Planner who will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining comprehensive project schedules for a residential project. As a Senior Planner your tasks involve detailed planning, scheduling, and coordination of activities to ensure project milestones are met on time and within the budget, you ideally have extensive experience in project planning and a deep understanding of scheduling software and techniques.  

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:  

  • Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules, outlining key milestones, deliverables, and resource allocation ensuring alignment with project goals & objectives. 

  • Prepare and distribute regular project status reports, including schedule updates, progress metrics, and risk assessments. 

  • Monitor project progress against baseline schedules and adjust project plans and schedules as necessary to accommodate changes. 

  • Carry out regular audits and reviews of project schedules to ensure accuracy and reliability. 

  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to gather information and update project plans. 

  • Work closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and designers to ensure alignment and effective project execution. 

  • Prepare and maintain accurate and complete project documentation, including schedules, progress reports, and change requests. 

  • Participate/facilitate “Look Ahead” meetings to discuss planning aspects of contracts & any other planning concerns.  

  • Degree or equivalent in Project Management.  

  • 5+ years post qualification experience with main contractor preferably in residential projects. 

  • Strong proficiency in planning software and tools such as Primavera 6.  

  • In-depth knowledge of project planning and scheduling principles, techniques, and best practices.  

  • Detail-oriented and effective communication skills.
