Our client, a leading Engineering Contractor operating across Europe, committed to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions is urgently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Planning Manager. As a Planning Manager you will oversee the planning and scheduling functions, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within the budget including monitoring progress, coordinating with various stakeholders, and implementing best practices in project planning and controls.  

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:  

  • Reporting to the Group Operations Director you will work closely with project managers and stakeholders in developing comprehensive project schedules that outline key activities, milestones, and deadlines.  

  • Monitor project progress against the established schedule identifying any deviations or delays and implement corrective actions.  

  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure that resources are utilised efficiently, flawlessly, and according to schedule to avoid bottlenecks and delays.  

  • Identify potential scheduling risks and ensure proactive measures are taken to minimise impact of risks on project schedules.  

  • Facilitate communication between various project teams to ensure coordination of activities.  

  • Conduct regular schedule reviews and audits to ensure compliance with project goals, standards, and procedures.  

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project planning documentation, including schedules, progress reports, and risk management plans.  

  • Degree in Construction Management/Engineering or strong trades background with technical ability to perform the task effectively.  

  • 5+ years’ experience as Planning Manager within construction/engineering.  

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.  

  • Proficiency in project planning software and tools such as Microsoft Project / P6 and related Planning Software & Microsoft Office tools.  

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
