Our client, a leading Main Contractor operating across Europe, committed to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions, is urgently seeking for a dedicated Junior Quantity Surveyor. As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will be assisting with project financial management, cost estimation, valuations, and contract administration and will work closely with senior team members to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within the budget, and in accordance with contractual obligations. 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements: 

  • Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets for projects, including material, labour, and equipment costs. 

  •  Assist in preparing valuations for interim and final payments to contractors and suppliers. 

  • Support in the preparation, negotiation, and management of contracts, ensuring all contractual obligations are met by subcontractors and suppliers. 

  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents, including bills of quantities, for submission to potential clients and subcontractors. 

  • Help in monitoring and reporting on project costs, identifying variances from the budget, and providing recommendations for cost control. 

  • Assist in identifying and valuing variations to the project scope, preparing cost assessments, and ensuring appropriate documentation and approvals are in place. 

  • Work with senior team members to assess potential financial risks and implement solutions promptly. 

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure that work is carried out in line with project specifications, budgets, and timelines. 

  • Assist in preparing and processing payments to subcontractors and suppliers in accordance with contract terms. 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions, contract documents, and cost reports related to the project. 

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.  

  • Good knowledge of cost estimation, contract management, and construction processes. 

  • Familiarity with standard forms of construction contracts is beneficial. 

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in cost estimations and reporting. 

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, subcontractors, and clients. 

  • Ability to assist in identifying potential issues and provide practical solutions to ensure project goals are met.
