Our client, a leading Fit Out Main Contractor, with a turnover of over £5 million, is looking for a dedicated Junior Project Manager. As Junior Project Manager, you will help manage and execute fit-out projects, from concept through to completion. The Junior Project Manager role involves supporting senior project managers in planning, coordinating, and overseeing fit-out works, ensuring that all aspects of the project are delivered on time, within the budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Assist in the preparation of project plans, schedules, and timelines ensuring deadlines are met and communicating any delays or issues to senior management.
Act as a liaison between clients, designers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication throughout the fit-out project.
Participate in project meetings, ensuring clear documentation of discussions.
Work closely with site managers and subcontractors to ensure the smooth running of daily site activities.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, inspect quality of work, and ensure compliance with design specifications and health and safety regulations.
Assist in identifying potential risks related to project timelines, budgets, or quality, and help develop mitigation plans.
Maintain a strong focus on attention to detail, ensuring that finishes, materials, and workmanship meet the expected standards.
Assist in maintaining project documentations, including contracts, change orders, drawings, and specifications.
Support site teams in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including conducting regular safety audits.
Promote a safety-first culture on-site and ensure that risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are followed and confirm that all site activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
3-5 years’ experience in project management, ideally within the fit-out sector.
CSCS, SMSTS & First Aid qualifications are desirable.
Strong understanding of fit-out processes, materials, and design standards.
Effective communication skills for managing client relationships and coordinating with contractors.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and proactively solve problems.
Ability to travel when needed.
