We are assisting an international multi-disciplinary Top Tier Contractor and leading provider of high-value Commercial and Residential Projects in their search for a dedicated Senior Engineer to be working in the company's projects in Cork, Ireland. The company is focused in operating across Ireland, the UK and Europe and has become the engineering and construction services provider of choice in growth segments such as pharmaceuticals, data centres and power transmission and distribution. As a Senior Engineer, you will be reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the planning, design and execution of projects from conception to completion. Advancing your technical expertise, leadership skills and project management experience, you will ensure that the projects are completed to the highest quality standards. 

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

• Initiate the development of project plans,budgets and schedules in collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.

• Supervision of project progress and identify potential issues and implement corrective solutions.

• Provide guidance and expertise to project teams on construction methods, materials and processes.

• Review and approve engineering designs, drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

• Conduct technical analysis, feasibility studies and risk assessment to inform project decision making.

• Conduct setting out surveys to establish reference points, lines, and levels for construction projects.

• Oversee the project activities ensuring compliance with design documents, safety regulations and quality standards.

• Lead site inspections and audits to monitor progress.

• Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication & collaboration.

• Degree in civil engineering, construction engineering or related field.

• 5-7 years of experience in construction engineering.

• Knowledge in engineering software and tools.

• Excellent communication, teamwork and problem solving skills.

• Strong understanding of construction methods and processes.

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer specialising in commercial and residential projects.

• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
