£65,000-70,000 DOE + Excellent Package

Our company is currently recruiting an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to be working onsite in North East, UK for a leading Clean Room/ Pharmaceutical contractor committed to excellence, innovation and sustainability that delivers high quality services. As Project Quantity Surveyor, you are expected to play a crucial role in managing the cost aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Prepare timely and accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, equipment and overhead costs.

  • Manage comprehensive project budgets based on project scope, specifications and contractual agreements.

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers and architects to finalise cost estimates and budgets throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Conduct a full construction take-off, prepare construction cost plans, and track costs and labour efficiency throughout the project.

  • Provide regular financial reports and forecasts providing analysis and insights on project cost performance.

  • Communicate cost related information to project stakeholders highlighting key issues and recommendations for corrective actions.

  • Measure from plan drawings and isometrics to produce fully priced detailed bills of quantities, including labour hours and material costs.

  • Produce timely and accurate cash flow submissions each month.

  • Ensure the final account is agreed within a specific project timeline.

  • Prepare subcontract packages for procurement, agree contracts, and manage through to the final account.

  • Strive to understand tasks assigned comprehensively, recognizing their importance in the overall project.

  • Request regular feedback from the senior QS regarding completed tasks.

  • Take ownership and responsibility for a defined scope of work.

  • Execute works and tasks diligently and professionally.

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying.

  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role. 

  • Experience working in clean room/ pharma contracts would be beneficial.

  • General construction and M&E background is an advantage.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Demonstrates exceptional presentation, verbal, written, communication and problem solving skills.

  • Excellent IT skills.
