Mechanical Commissioning Engineer - Data Centre - Sweden

We are currently seeking an experienced and committed Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to play a crucial role within our team. In this position, you will be tasked with assisting in the leadership and oversight of the commissioning process for mechanical systems across various projects. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the successful installation, testing, and validation of a diverse range of mechanical systems, encompassing Piping systems, HVAC systems, Plumbing systems, refrigerant systems, Life safety systems, and building automation systems (BAS / BMS), while adhering to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commissioning Leadership: Take the lead in planning and executing the commissioning process for mechanical systems on assigned projects. Collaborate with project teams to establish commissioning schedules and ensure timely project completion.
  • System Testing and Calibration: Conduct thorough testing and calibration of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, BAS instrumentation, and other pertinent equipment, to verify their functionality and efficiency.
  • Issue Identification and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any issues, deviations, or deficiencies that arise during the commissioning process. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to implement effective solutions.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain meticulous and accurate documentation of commissioning procedures, test results, and system performance. Prepare comprehensive commissioning reports for client review and delivery.
  • Client Interaction: Maintain open communication with clients throughout the commissioning process, providing updates and addressing inquiries to ensure client satisfaction with the final deliverables.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with project managers, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of mechanical systems within the overall project framework.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in commissioning mechanical systems for industrial or commercial projects.
  • Solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and safety protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Effective time management skills to meet project deadlines.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel for on-site commissioning activities.
