Due to our client's continued expansion, we are actively seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to be working in their projects based in Dublin, Ireland. Our client is focused in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Sprinkler and Fire Protection division and also offers additional top notch services that includes Waste to Energy (BioEnergy), Specialist Lift, Off Site Fabrication, Technical Support Services, Maintenance, Asset Management, BIM (Building Information Modelling) and Geo-Surveying.  As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will have the advantage to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in quantity surveying, cost analysis and management. 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Support in preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, equipment and other expenses.

  • Contribute to the development of project budgets and cost plans under the supervision of senior quantity surveyors.

  • Team up with project teams to track cost, monitor variances and identify cost- saving opportunities.

  • Assist Senior Quantity Surveyor with the preparations of commercial reports.

  • Assist in conducting quantity takeoffs and measurements from drawings and specifications to determine the quantities materials, labour and equipment required for construction activities.

  • Verify quantities and measurements on site, and assist in resolving discrepancies as needed.

  • Oversee the cost and hours of all labour hire subcontractors.

  • Maintain accurate records of cost estimates, budgets and expenditures and update project cost reports regularly.

  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions on cost management on cost management, procurement and project progress.

  • Third level qualifications is an advantage.

  • Previous experience in quantity  surveying roles.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Quantity Surveying softwares and other relevant tools.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
