Our company is currently recruiting a dedicated Intermediate M&E Quantity Surveyor to be working onsite in London, UK for a leading contractor committed to excellence, innovation and sustainability that delivers high quality services. The company is currently involved in complex technical projects in life sciences, pharmaceutical and data centre schemes across Europe. As Intermediate M&E Quantity Surveyor you are expected to support the cost management and financial aspects of our projects contributing to its successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Assist in the preparation of accurate and reliable cost estimates for mechanical and electrical works.

  • Support the development of the project budgets, working closely with senior quantity surveyors and project managers to ensure that the project is aligned with the project requirements and client expectations.

  • Contribute to value engineering exercises and cost saving initiatives to optimise project cost while delivering high quality projects.

  • Assist in the review & administration of contracts with clients, subcontractors and suppliers ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and standards.

  • Assist in monitoring performance and progress, identifying any issues and providing sound solutions.

  • Collaborate with the finance and accounting team to ensure accurate cost allocation, payment processing and invoicing.

  • Support in the implementation of cost control to ensure that the project development is within the allocated budget.

  • Support senior quantity surveyors in negotiations, meetings and other interactions with stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with local regulations and industry standards related to Mechanical & Electrical works.

  • Proficiency in Mechanical & Electrical cost control, estimation and quantity surveying techniques.

  • Essential Quantity Surveying qualifications.

  • Relevant experience as Mechanical & Electrical QS.

  • Excellent delegation and organisational skills. 

  • Ability to work and collaborate with the wider project team. 

  • Strong communications skills, both written and oral required.

  • Excellent IT skills.
