Our client is a well-established and highly respected fit out contractor operating throughout the Middle East from 6 regional offices. This organisation undertakes high-end fit out works across three primary sectors: High End Hotels, High End Residential and Luxury Retail. With their own joinery production facility, they are able to offer a full ‘turnkey’ service and their portfolio boasts some of the most high-profile fit out schemes delivered in the Gulf region.

 

Due to continued growth and investment in the region our client is now seeking a Divisional Director for their Saudi operation. This role will play a pivotal role in the division's growth by building the organization structure, processes and systems whilst developing a culture of collaboration among the different pre- and post-contract teams. It is important to ensure the projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with the very best finish possible.

 

Duties will include:

 

Pre-contract stage:

  • Active involvement and value add to the company’s growth strategies.
  • Coordination, collaboration, and active guidance to the BD team
  • Spearheading pricing and negotiation strategies and project execution planning.
  • Contribute to enhancing the quality of the company’s bid submission.

 

Post-contract stage:

  • Developing the project management and installation capabilities in different regions of the Kingdom.
  • Responsible for leading project execution involving planning, contract risk management, overview of the construction sites, and management of vendors and trades. In addition to always maintaining a high level of communication with key stakeholders.
  • Developing strong rapport and relationships with all clients and their representatives.
  • Maintaining accurate records as construction progresses throughout the projects.
  • Specifying project objectives and plans, including delineation of scope, budgeting, scheduling, setting performance requirements, and selecting project sub-contractors.

 

Health, Safety, and Environmental/sustainability:

  • Shall directly contribute to the vision and objectives of HSE function. It is expected to cultivate a Safety Culture in the division to achieve its values
  • Will work closely to influence positively and direct the procurement department in vendor development, management, and selection to enhance and prepare the supply chain to achieve company aspirations and overcome operational challenges.
  • Review, assess, and develop the processes and procedures in all operational matters and develop enhancement programs and initiatives to raise the standards to reflect a unique and special customer experience. Such improvements should consider Quality and Environmental accreditation and achievements in its vision and objective.

 

The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate the following skills / experience:

  • Fifteen + years of relevant work experience, and having been a key figure in growing a fit out business
  • Proven track record as a successful leader at the senior management level in the fit-out Industry, delivering quality fit-out projects on time and within budget particularly within the key sectors of High End Hotels, High End Residential and Luxury Retail.
  • Very strong Operational, Contractual, and Commercial abilities with sound knowledge of the different trades involved in the fit-out industry relating to Civil, MEP, and finishing works.
  • A sound knowledge of the joinery industry
