Client-Side - Consultancy Assistant Project Manager - Cardiff 

Are you ready to take on a dynamic role supporting large-scale sports and entertainment venue projects? As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll play a crucial role in the success of our projects in Cardiff, providing comprehensive support to Project Managers, Directors, and Executives.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the Project Execution Plan (PEP), outlining roles, responsibilities, and communication channels.
  • Attend project and construction meetings, maintaining detailed minutes for reference.
  • Support the tracking and follow-up of meeting actions, ensuring project team deliverables and due dates are met.
  • Maintain project tracking logs for Design Compliance, Design Change Instructions, RFIs, Non-Conformance, and submittals.
  • Collaborate on design reviews, approvals, change procedures, and reporting, including the maintenance of design derogation logs.
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly professional team and contractor pay applications and invoicing records.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining project risk, opportunities, and issues registers.
  • Aid in the development and maintenance of stage design programs, coordinating with the Master Development Programme.
  • Support procurement-related functions and provide technical and administrative assistance in the preparation of project documentation.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in the construction or related services industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in construction management, engineering, or design).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a positive "can-do" attitude.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of software (Word, Excel, Project, Teams, OneDrive, etc).
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of construction industry principles, practices, and terminology.
