£55,000- 60,000 DOE + Transport + Competitive Package

Our company is currently recruiting a diligent and customer- focused Aftercare Manager to be working in Kent for a leading Contractor committed to excellence, innovation and sustainability that delivers top notch services involved in complex technical projects in new build residential, commercial and education sectors across Europe. As Aftercare Manager you will be responsible for managing the aftercare process of projects ensuring that any defects or issues are addressed promptly and to the satisfaction of clients.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements includes:

  • Perform thorough inspections of completed projects to identify any defects, deficiencies, or workmanship issues.

  • Document and categorise defects according to severity and impact on functionality, safety, and aesthetics.

  • Communicate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to develop and implement corrective solutions for addressing identified defects and issues.

  • Manage the scheduling of repair works and ensure that necessary resources and materials are available to complete repairs effectively.

  • Keep track of the development of defect resolution activities and ensure that repairs are completed to the satisfaction of clients and in accordance with contractual obligations.

  • Administer follow-up inspections and quality checks to verify that repaired defects meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Organise and maintain accurate records of aftercare activities, including defect reports, repair logs, and correspondence with clients and stakeholders.

  • Arrange regular aftercare reports and updates for stakeholders and clients, summarising status of defect resolution and any outstanding issues.

  • Deal with the client's concerns and complaints promptly, and implement improvements to aftercare processes based on feedback received.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in the aftercare process, and implement best practices to enhance service delivery.

  • Respond and communicate with the clients actively regarding the aftercare issues.

  • Must be flexible and can handle or attend to minor defects (e.g. adjusting doors, decoration works, etc.)

  • Attend meetings with clients and manage the process to completion.

  • Degree in Construction Management or related field.

  • Proven track record in delivering aftercare services.

  • Main contractor background is an advantage.

  • Strong verbal & written communication and problem solving skills.

  • Excellent IT skills.
